The Growth Hub has organised a series of workshops under the #GrowMySME programme to help SME businesses in the Humber region with a variety of topics. You can find a summery of each event below, with a link to eventbrite where full details and booking arrangements can be found.

strategic marketingThis half-day practical, interactive & outcome-focused workshop is led by John Gilbert, Managing Director of Stuff of Greatness. With over 15 years experience as a corporate marketer and as a successful SME owner, John brings a wealth of strategic and practical success into his training workshops to help inspire busy entrepreneurs. 



Mastering ExportsA chance to learn from the Humber Region’s Successful Exporters at this joint Department for International Trade (DIT) & Humber Business Growth Hub (HBGH) #GrowMySME Breakfast Briefing.Presentations by three of the regions successful SME exporters will be followed, upon request, by 1-2-1 clinics with DIT export advisors and HBGH business advisors to help you learn how our Exporting for Growth Funding and Business for Growth Funding schemes can be utilised to help you support your business goals.

There are a series of these workshops across the Humber region. These workshop introduces you to the foundation skills of selling that all SMEs need in order to grow your business.Broken into bite size chunks the workshop will cover:

Module Two: Managing the Sales Process/Cycle
Module Three: The Seven Stages of a Sales

Delivered by Comminque [ed], Fundamentals of Selling is the first of a series of four 1/2 day workshops designed to equip you with the professional skills you need to grow your business.

Event Eligibility:

These workshops are FREE to attend for SMEs who are both eligible & registered with the #GrowMySME Programme. 98% of businesses in the Humber region are SMEs, and so it is highly likely that your business will be eligible to access the programme and attend our workshops.

An eligible SME is one that, at a minimum, must:

• Be trading in the Humber area – Hull, East Riding of Yorkshire, North East Lincolnshire, North Lincolnshire
• Have less than 250 full time (or equivalent) employees
• Have a turnover of less than €50m or a balance sheet of less than €43m
