Growing the Humber
Humber Local Enterprise Partnership’s Growing the Humber LGF programme is a £4m scheme to help grow businesses in the Humber. Grants from £5K to £500K are available.
There are a range of grants available to help businesses deal with the impact that coronavirus will have on their business. These are from a range of organisations covering many businesses.
Skills For Growth
A Hull City Council initiative to help Hull businesses use workforce skills interventions to raise their productivity and profitability via a grant of 50% of the cost of training up to a maximum of £1,000
Innovation Growth Labs
Supporting randomised controlled trials (RCT) to find out what works to increase innovation, support high business growth entrepreneurship and accelerate business growth.
Access to work
This scheme can provide grants to employers towards extra employment costs which result from an employee having a disability or long term physical or mental health condition.
Innovate UK provides government funding and support tools to help businesses undertake technological research and development that test out new ideas and to innovate.
Apprenticeship Grant – Employer Incentive
This Employer Incentive (AGE 16 to 24) Programme is to help employers offer young people employment through the Apprenticeship programme.
John Cracknell Youth Enterprise Bank
For young people who live in Hull, East Riding aged up to and including 21 years old. It offers grants for young people who need finance to help make their idea happen.
Grants are available for Products and Process Innovation for the purchase of equipment which enables innovation.The programme is open to East Riding businesses.
Gigabit Broadband Voucher Scheme
Gigabit vouchers can be used by small businesses to contribute to the installation cost of full fibre connection. Businesses can claim up to £3K cost of connection.
Grants between £5000 and £20,000 are available to assist businesses and voluntary organisations to help unemployed people progress towards employment by enhancing their skills through training opportunities.

RPDE Growth Programme
Grant funding for projects in England which create jobs and growth in the rural economy. There are 3 types of grant: Business development, Food processing, Rural tourism infrastructure.
CITB support and funding
CITB provide support and funding to help businesses improve workforce skills, increase their competitiveness and respond to challenges such as reducing costs on site and recruitment.
Funding for research or innovation that’s ground breaking, improves European research standards or responds to challenges like advanced manufacturing, materials, IT.
Key Fund provides grants and loans to social enterprise organisations, and other organisations that have a social mission, to help increase their economic and environmental impact.
University of Lincoln – Innovation
Providing SMEs with access to the University’s expertise, specialist equipment and facilities through a range of grant funding with values from £1k up to £10k.
The Royal Academy of Engineering offer grants of up to £60,000 for innovative, creative entrepreneurial engineers looking to start a company.
CLLD programme Scunthorpe
There is £2.2m of funding available for projects that will create jobs and economic growth in certain disadvantaged areas within Scunthorpe. The programme runs up to December 2021.
Repair Grants for Heritage at Risk
Grants for the repair and conservation of historic buildings, monuments and landscapes, You can also get grants for surveys and investigations.
Funding of £250K – £5m is available for Community Organisations to help restore neglected historic buildings and sites and put them to productive use to sustain and transform the UK’s heritage.
Carbon Trust Green Business Fund
The Carbon Trust Green Business Fund is dedicated to supporting SMEs providing opportunities to improve energy efficiency and reduce energy costs at no cost to the business.
Technology Developer Accelerator Programme
For SMEs who are developing cutting-edge automotive technology, products and services.facilitates this support by providing £100,000 of grant benefit, on a match funded basis.
Rural Community Energy Fund
A £1.35 million grant fund available to support community groups in rural areas across the North East and Yorkshire and the Humber region develop renewable energy projects.
Business Growth Grants
Humber Growth Hub Business Growth Grant provides 40% of project total costs Between £2500 and £12,500 for businesses to access specialist forms of advice to grow their business.
This European fund helps small to medium sized business to get their innovation or research projects off the ground through 3 match-funded schemes.
£3.8 million of Coastal Communities Funding to help deliver a number of projects in Cleethorpes to enhance key areas, provide new facilities and deliver events in the resort.
Grant For Enterprise – NBV
These are Grants to support the growth of micro, small and medium-sized businesses (SME) in the Lincolnshire area. Grant applications can be made for capital and revenue projects.
Manufacturing Growth Programme
An ERDF funded programme, grant funding towards the cost of support of implementing plans for manufacturing projects. Capital grants are available.
Creative Europe’s MEDIA sub-programme
funding opportunities that provide non-repayable grants to independent European organisations in the film, television, new media and video game industries.
Academic-led, responsive mode grants that have significant industrial involvement and industry partner(s) contributes in cash at least equivalent to 10% of the full project costs.

Better Broadband Subsidy Scheme
Subsidised broadband installation for businesses that can’t access affordable broadband service with a speed of at least 2MB per second from Department For Digital,Culture,Media & Sport
Supports collaborations research projects between a company and an academic partner in new areas of exploratory science with up to 50% funding of project cost available, the rest must come from the company.
Vocational education and training funding
Erasmus+ is an EU programme for education, training, youth and sport. Each year, UK organisations involved in vocational education and training (VET) can apply.
OFFSHORE WIND SUPPLY CHAIN PROJECTS
£400,000 for projects that aim to improve the competitiveness of the existing UK supply chain and encourage the development of new products and services for the sector.
